Spanish Meatballs

  1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup fresh whole wheat bread crumbs
2 tablespoon milk
1 large egg beaten
1 garlic clove minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
SPANISH SAUCE
1 medium onion chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1/2 cup white wine
2 teaspoon cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon Brown sugar
2 garlic cloves minced
  Instructions
  Meatballs:
Combine all 7 ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls.
Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 350F oven for 10 minutes until browned and no longer pink inside. Drain. Set aside.

Spanish Sauce:
Saute onion and garlic in olive oil in medium saucepan for 2 to 3 minutes until soft.
Disolve bouillon powder in boiling water in small cup.
Add to onion mixture. Stir.
Add tomato paste. Stir.
Stir wine into cornstarch in a small cup until smooth. Gradually stir into tomato paste mixture. Heat and stir until boiling and thickened.
Add pepper,cloves, and brown sugar. Stir.
Add meatballs. Heat on low for 25 to 30 minutes until heated through.
